Test your vocational goals with a four-day-a-week internship in the area of your choice, and get to know the nation's third largest city in the "Chicago Seminar" (one day a week).  Eight and weeks, 8-9 credit hours or 2 units total.

January Interterm
Spend three weeks exploring and learning about Chicago while engaging in a three-day-a-week placement pertinent to your major (any and all majors!). Choose one of two study emphases to specialize learning: "Urban Diversity", or "City Arts". 3-4 credit hours or 1 1/4 units and a perfect way to try out the city.                                                January 3 - 24, 2003

Professional Track Programs

Urban Student Teaching Student Teach in a successful city school with children of diverse racial, ethnic,  economic backgrounds.  This program meets accreditation requirements and includes a weekly Urban Teaching Seminar.   Fall Semester: August 28 - December 11, 2002 Spring Semester:  January 29 – May 7, 2003 Pre-professional track students often combine January Interterm or Post Term with their  Semester.

Senior Social Work Practicum Combines a professional placement with a weekly Social Work Seminar taught by a Master of Social Work Instructor.  This program will meet your B.S.W. accreditation requirements. Fall Semester: August 28 - December 11, 2002 Spring Semester:  January 29 – May 7, 2003 (Summer by special arrangement) Pre-professional track students often combine January Interterm or Post Term with their  Semester.
