Orientation All Student Progams include an orientation designed to get you familiar with the city's key cultures and communities, your neighborhood, public transportation and street smarts. Within a couple of weeks you'll be more familiar with Chicago than most residents! |

Pre-program Visit We encourage you to come visit your school, meet the staff you'll be working with, and see what our neighborhood and housing is like. After you're placed, just make an appointment for a M - F visit. |

School Placements |
Our careful selection of school placements gives every student teacher the experience of teaching in a diverse environment.
Our placements in all grade levels include magnet programs, alternative schools, neighborhood schools and college prep academies. Small schools to large schools, special education, bi-lingual and fine arts give us many more choices in your placement process.

Credit & 2008-09 Fees |
| |
Credit: You'll enroll on campus for the same credits as if you were staying there to complete your student teaching. Your certification requirements for your state and campus' program will be met by your Chicago Center program. Check with your department or campus liaison.

Fees: 1. Tuition Register for credit on your campus and pay your semester tuition there; 2. Chicago Center Program Fee for your shared furnished apartment, internet, phone, utilities, cable tv, food , books, cultural events, in-city transportation including unlimited transit pass is $4,179 ($4,390 in 2009), 3.Cleaning deposit, $50 and refundable 4. City Activity Fee $300 (out-of-pocket money for program-related events) |
